Laurie is the Chief Editor for TalentMEDIA Services. With 35 years of experience in publishing, Laurie has held just about every editorial job title there is, from proofreader and copy editor to staff writer, research editor, and on up to editor. She’s worked mostly in magazines, including national titles, such as National Geographic and EQUUS, as well as trade journals and other publications for health care professionals. Laurie has also written and edited fiction and nonfiction books along with newsletters, press releases, promotional materials, and other types of publications on a variety of topics. Wherever she worked, Laurie was always the go-to person for questions about grammar and style. Laurie earned a BA with Honors in English and a minor in business from Penn State University.

Fun Facts
- Laurie is a lifelong collector with a house full of vintage and antique furniture, art, pottery, glass, books, and other great “finds” from antique shops and flea markets. She has around 5,000 vintage postcards, a collection that started with cards her grandmother mailed to her when she was 3 years old.
- She does the New York Times crossword puzzle every day and is working toward increasing her times to compete in tournaments.
- A Marylander for more than 25 years, Laurie grew up in southeastern Pennsylvania, in the same county where her English Quaker ancestors settled in the 1680s. She currently lives in Columbia, Maryland, with her husband and two rescue cats, Moose and Lady Bird.
